Hi guys,
Got ABS, ASC off, and that picture of a car skidding lights on dashboard, think I may have an ABS sensor failure,
What's the easiest way to diagnose the problem.
Cheers

Cheers guys, the ASC is switched on, and no not had any work done on the brakes,
The drivers front sensor packed in last year and new one was fitted by Mitsubishi who identified the fault using their MUTT scanner,
I could take it back to them but was looking for an alternative, any thoughts? |

You can test each sensor with a resistance meter by unplugging connection and reading ohms, can't remember exact readings but it'll be on this forum somewhere |

Wheel speed sensor resistance is 1.0-1.5 kohms. Should also be open circuit between the body of the sensor and each pin in the connector. If resistance is outside the standard value shown, or not open circuit, the sensor needs replacing.
Also worth checking the toothed rotor and the probe at the end of the sensor for damage or being fouled by foreign objects. |

Hi thanks again for advice, think I'll just hand it into Mitsubishi as I don't have the equipment to check for electrical faults and I don't
Fancy pulling the inner splash panels off as I can imagine the clips breaking and other horrors lurking there,
Plus don't have a torque wrench to put the wheels back on at correct tightness, thanks again guys. |

A standard multi meter should be able to test resistance and continuity. |

also worth noting its a known fault with these for this to come on at random times. mine does it if im sat in traffic with the foot on the brake think it could be triggered by excessive heat. |
