Hi folks,

94 SWB TD 300,000km.

I have had a bit of a coolant leak for a bit, nothing major, and I top up the system often.

After I topped up the radiator today I went for a short trip, on my return there was definitely coolant dripping.

A steady drip, which did stop after about 5 mins after the engine was switched off.

Can't see where its coming from but the drip is on the corner of the sump guard/protection plate (drivers side looking at the front of the car)

Without taking it off, I was wondering if you had any initial ideas?

Cheers.

Mike.

Could be from anywhere and just landing on the bash plate and running off.

I used a uv dye when I had a small leak to find. Just popped a bottle in the rad, used a leave in type, ran it for a short distance and then found the leak in seconds with a cheap uv torch.

Remove what you need to and identify the source of the leak. It needs to be fixed as a matter of priority. If you leave it, it will only get worse and may well result in a damaged cylinder head.

There's little point in speculating as to where it might be from, surely?
