Hi,
I recently purchased a 1997 pajero jr Engine 4A31 Engine 137,000 km on there .However I'm not too sure what condition the timing belt is in .All the dealers I've gone to has asked that I supply them a part number to have this belt sourced from their stock ,which I don't have. Please can anyone help me find the timing belt part number.
Thanks in advance |

if its a serious dealer, he`ll check your engine production number and also the chassis number and he`ll be able to know all the parts he`ll need for your vehicle. |

It's EITHER MD317878 or MD334207 - I'm afraid I don't know what the difference would be
A quick call to ANY MMC/CCC dealership should confirm
HTH?

I just bought my 1997 Pajero Jr from Japan. It has 122,000km on it. I have read that after 100,000, one should change the timing belt. How can I tell if it has already been changed? |
