Flashing A/T light in park or Neutral

After a bit of advice i have 1995 2.8 a/t light flashers when in park and neutral or drive with hand brake light on but dose not flash when moving in drive won't kick down or rev over 3000 rpm but will pull over 3k when changing gears manually............plus my glow plugs would not wotk i have power to the main side of the relay as the 80amp is ok this morning when a/t light was flashing but after 20mins drive back to normal its like a limp mode its like once it get up to run temp it will go back to normal and kick down and rev over 3k but leave 30min the A/T flashing again in park with handbrake on

Sounds like it could be overheating to me. Have you checked the level and condition of the ATF fluid?

Sorry it is not over heating as it only flashes when in park or neural with the hand brake on and after 30 mins it drives spot on oil is fresh and filter has been cleaned so deffo not over heating its a limp mode its having

If it's nothing obvious then you will probably need to extract the fault code.

Well after faffing about under the bonnet dash and chassis the bloody thing has fixed its self................ bandhead

'Self-heals' have a habit of reappearing when you least want them to.  It's probably something like a dodgy wiring connection or a faulty temperature sender on the gearbox.

All you can do is watch and wait.........
