Hi have a 2009 "Elegance" Shogun and I would like to upgrade from the OEM entertainment system, but I do not want to lose the use of the steering wheel controls or reversing camera.  There is also a great sound stage on board with factory fit sub and about a million speakers.   I want bluetooth/android connectivity too.

Any recommendations and has anyone done it?

I haven't done a shogun but have done a few other cars. You'll need something like this for the steering controls https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctsmt007-2-mitsubishi-pajero-shogun-2006-steering-wheel-stalk-control-adaptor.html

As for the reversing camera I'm not sure I've not tackled one of those yet. Something like this may work http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mitsubishi-ASX-2013-On-Car-Stereo-Camera-Retention-Interface-Adapter-Lead-/272167027731?hash=item3f5e6b4413:g:r6MAAOSwyjBW5D8i

It is far more complicated than that, Elegance has a 12 speaker 860 watt Rockford system with a large amp in the back, I am not aware of any interface available to link an aftermarket radio with the amp.

The link I posted for the adapter states that it works with the Rockford system. The best thing to do would be to phone someone like Dynamic Sounds for advice

Yes Doug, but it only interfaces the steering wheel controls, you need another adaptor (if one exists) to connect the new head unit to the amplifier.  I don't know whether they talk to each other at speaker level or pre-amp level.

Ah This may be a spanner in the works then....  Just got my hands on a nice Double Din system and came back here to seek more advice!

So it's not as simple as an ISO connector and steering wheel controls .... Sad
