Hi all new to the group. I have a fault with my 2002 2.5td shogun sport. The engine light comes on when on tick over. I was told to change the boost solenoids, which I have done but this has made no difference.
I put the old ones back on and if i start her up and leave her on tick over she will put the light on in about 20-30 seconds. If I rev her to 1000 rpm the the light stays off until she drops down onto tick over. I have blanked off the egr valve, but this was done a while ago. Could it have disturbed something when I adjust the tapets?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Check all the vacuum pipes for splits or leaks - You may have dislodged one.
