Just got some more stuff from Milners and just wondered what the round dot/mark was for on the radiator hoses?

It means "This side is the outside".  So if you can't see the dot, you've put the hose on inside-out.

In the MK3 there are yellow markings on the hoses that guide you to align. I imagine it's a similar thing here.
