Horn not working

Hi there, got my 1st ever 4x4 shogun sport 2.5 turbo diesel
no horn, I have checked fuses in side and out all good, but wen I press horn sign on steering wheel it
Feels like nowt there,which makes me bit sus,as srs light on, (yes bought it with light on as never noticed it at 1 st)any clues? Thanks in advance to this 4x4 novice

It's just that if you post in the wrong section it may restrict the number of responses that you get and also it makes them harder to locate in future should they be needed.

If the horn isn't working and you've got an SRS warning light on, I'd suspect that the clock spring is defective. This is a module behind the steering wheel that allows electrical current to both the horn and the air bag in the steering wheel.

I'd get the fault analysed.  Maybe you can find someone local to you who specialises in SRS faults?  You could probably locate a replacement clock spring on Ebay if it does prove to be faulty.  Once fitted, I think the fault will need to be cleared electronically.

Hi there thanks for answers , warranty no, I do know  mechanic who is good with clock springs and faults so I will get it to him , I admit I was in to much of a hurry in patient me but apart from that it's been great ; soon as I find out I post , in between gettin house n mot in June but get done asap thanks for help phil,Wink

Hi there, I know that in your replies that clock spring could be faulty as to srs
Light bieng on, under passenger side seat unnoticed that a wire comming from
Under the carpet has  been cut, wer it goes I have no clue or wer it came from, but
Could this be cause of srs light bieng on?
Had look at air bag it's all nicely packed as it should be so was
Just wondering, any one any ideas as to this wire under seat? Ty in advance

That will probably be the wiring for the seat belt connector and pressure sensor. This causes the warning indicator light up if the seat is occupied and the belt not engaged. AFAIK it's not related to the SRS system.
