My first post
I just treated myself to a 2004 Shogun Sport 2.5TD Warrior and the only bad thing about it is the manufacturer stereo. For one it won't play "homegrown" CDs or MP3 disks, plus there is no Bluetooth which is a bit of a bind.
I recently shoved (well, Halfords did) a Sony BT-800 double DIN unit into my VW Golf which I am very impressed with. I'm thinking something similar - albeit a single DIN but with Bluetooth (and able to output to all the speakers - I am impressed with what Mitsubishi did with the layout in the vehicle).
Going to any site such as Halfords though for some reason will not let me see if a unit is going to be compatible or need extra harnesses/cables etc. I suppose the truck is 13 years old after all!
I am loathe to let Halfords start messing around trying to work out if something will work or not. Does anyone have any stereo recommendations that they can share? If I can find one I like and supply the bits and bobs I might even try and fit it myself... |

I fitted a halfords Kenwood DAB in mine.
Got the antenna for the windscreen there too.
CD player, Radio and DAB radio, Bluetooth, Hands free, USB player etc etc.Not expensive and is great.
(Does need a plug though.) |

Might be worth considering an Android headunit, that's what I intend to do when my normal stereo gives up |

Thanks all - I deliberated for ages and ended up getting a JVC single DIN unit - looks and works great with no problems pairing to my Sony phone (work iPhone is a bit of a pain and keeps disconnecting but that's Apple for you ) |
