Had to get a new windscreen fitted for the MOT (which it failed) so spoke to the insurance company & the guy from the windscreen company turned up & stuck his head in his hands on the steering wheel before he had even got out of the van.
Not a mind reader but suspected there may be a problem.
He informed me that with my model the windscreen rubber had to be replaced with the screen as it was held in by clips or something & that they no longer made the rubber.  He called the office to make sure & they confirmed that there was no rubber available so he said that he would have to cut the screen out & hope the rubber wasn't too damaged so that he could refit it.
It had to be done so told him to go ahead & he got it out & refitted it but the rubber is far from flush in places so just wondering if anyone else can shed some light on this because if what he told me is true, effectively Mk3's with a cracked windscreen are junkable.

I'm surprised that there isn't a rubber available, as even the very latest Shoguns are the same body shape as the Mk3!

Mk4 windscreen is different to the mk3 but I'm not sure about the rubber trim as I cannot get the Mitsubishi Kiev website to work atm.

Specialist seal manufacturers make them for very little money.

Had my screen replaced yesterday. New rubber BUT it is not perfect, possibly slightly narrower than before and a less overlap with rubber on the pillars.
