|
|
Evening folks, Well after some steering problems and a quick search on here decided my pitman arm needed looking at especially if was free. COntacted a main dealer here in Dublin - no no cant help you you need to ring mitsubishi ireland. Which i did and wait for it - Ireland arent implementing the recall and have no interest in my pajero as its an import.. Told me the UK were off doing their own thing, as this recall didnt apply in ireland..
IVe email Mitsi europe and they got back to me within about an hour they have now gone off to check. Ill keep you posted on progress - if anyone has managed to get an import done here on the emerald isle - Id be interested in how/where/who did it
Cheers

Well i never ever - Mistubishi got back to me in 24 hours and have confirmed that its included in the recall.. superb customer service.. Just waiting for clarification now on how when im getting it done but will keep you all posted.
Dear Mr / Ms Doyle,
Thank you once more for your e-mail. We have in the meantime verified if
your car is involved in a Recall Campagin and we indeed found a positive
match on the V(ehicle) I(dentification) N(umber) of your car to the range
of affected vehicles in the Campaign.
In order to execute the rectification procedure, we have informed our
importer "MMC Commercials Ltd" about this and have requested them to
contact you to make an appointment and inform further details.
We trust that we have informed you sufficiently but should you have any
question please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely,

Well folks, am all booked in for Wednesday afternoon. If anyone is having problems with Mitsubishi Ireland denying there are doing this recall just send mitsubishi europe an email, they confirmed it was part of the recall within 24hrs and then arrange to get Misti ireland to contact me to find a time which suited me for the repair
Will let you know how i get on after its done..

All,
Mistubishi Europe got back to me in 24 hrs or less - and passed it on to Mitsubishi ireland. 2 days later i heard from MMC Ireland who asked me to pick a dealer. I decided on MODO in finglas and arranged to book it in the next day. Got down there and was told it would take 2 hrs to do - ok i thought can i have a car - yep for 25 euro..
Ah well i was getting the car improved for free so didnt mind so much. So went back down for 2:30 and my paj is ready. Drive it back to the office and steering is way off. told it needed tracking by MODO so went and got that done.
Back on to MODO and after a bit of back and forth they arrange to get me back down for 12:30 today. Steering wheel was recenter and is now better than ever
Fair dues to Robbie in MODO who was on the ball and very attentive when getting the issue fixed for me
Cheers,
Shane

Yes, or at least it was a year or so ago - just put your details in HERE and Mitsy will get back to you. |

Thanks Pete, I will give the link a try. Told my eldest and he said na we can do it, but I fancy letting Mitzi do it then I have a record of it being done. Something to put with its paperwork for its history. |

I had mine done ages ago but changed it again this summer because I was changing all the steering joints.
When I had it done the dealer said there is no time limit for the recall - they will stop doing the work after they have done 90% ( iirc) of the trucks affected. |
