Hello,

Has anybody here needed to replace the top bushing of the rear diff? The one that bolts on to the chassis?

I have tried to identify it but Mitsubishi does not sell the bushing separately.

Any help with size and measures of it would be appreciated.

if i remember correctly it is molded into the housing. you can have a new one molded in. Speak to Andre at Andre's rubber in Cape Town  http://www.andresrubber.com
he did mine. He also did all the suspension bushes, which have held up really well.

Nice one, thanks. No link though. How did you get that reference?

Could order one here, being the After Sales Manager of Mitsubishi in Mozambique but as I am going on holidays tomorrow to Portugal, I will try to get one there. Will be quicker.

I lowered the diff today to take measurements and I reckon that it is an easy replacement.

Cheers

I've done a lot of research on this and I think that the 2G DSM rear differential carrier bushings are the same. The catch is that the factory did not make these available unless sold as part of the entire subframe. The good news is that chassis is well supported by the aftermarket and there are a lot of polyurethane and aluminum bushing kits available. The best looking one I can find is from Ukraine and they will not sell to me. The cost is only $11 dollars US.

If someone has connections to buy this/import these I will gladly buy some from them.

I can get more homemade looking ones here in the USA but these look good.

I was just able to buy one through Amayama. They appear to still be available.  OEM.. so, cancel my request for the Ukraine version (for now)
