|
|
Hi guys
Finally solved why my ABS TC + ASC lights have been coming on intermittently for the past year, it was a faulty wheel sensor,
Mitsubishi were unable to give me a definitive answer so I bought a code reader, a icarsoft i909 specifically for Mitsubishi + Mazda
And checked it myself, reader said Front left sensor was open so bought one on eBay for £16.95 and fitted it in 30 mins,
The bolt sheared so cleaned up the matting faces and stuck it down with Araldite epoxy resin, job done, lights out, for info,
The mk4 ABS sensors are the same as the mk3's, the code reader does ABS SRS and most of what I want to check all for £99
Hope this helps |

Thanks for reply, the resin is as hard as rock and sensor is a very tight fit even with out the bolt, I was aggrieved with Mitsubishi as they wanted to take the dash apart and fit a new ECU at a cost of £3k plus vat, it's no wonder people keep clear of them, still job done lessons learnt, every days a school day. |

Yep, very last resort for me to visit dealerships, just shows you, could've spent 3000 on new ecu and problem would still be there, wonder if they would've refunded you, think you've had a lucky escape.

You can spray the plug connectors electrical terminals with Waxoyl to prevent corrosion in the plugs themselves. |
