Mine does too, but from what I've read on the forum in the past, I think the extended range fuel tank is part of the winter pack option, which included quite a few things from what I've gathered reading various posts on the forum.
I *think* these items are part of the Winter Pack option aimed at Japans cold winters.
Extended range fuel tank (92L)
Twin batteries for better cold starting
2" body lift (although also read lift may have been to get the stronger, bigger g/box in when 2.8 engine came out).
Rear Auxiliary heater
Fuel heater on fuel filter
Insulation under carpets
Lagged pipework
Heated wiper park area at lower edge of windscreen
Limited Slip Diff in rear axle
Heated Mirrors*
Climate Control*
*may be on all models, not sure.
I'm sure there's other things I might have forgotten. |

Doesn,t the LWB have the larger of the two tanks?......
When I had a chance of the fuel tank which came off the LWB vehicle which I got my gearbox off it bacame evident that the LWB 2.8 Paj fuel tank is Not the same tank which fits my 2.5 SWB.

The Vehicle that was the doner for my gearbox was a 2.5 the same cc as my one not a 2.8 as an earlier post by me may suggest.

According to THIS
Quote: |
On the 4M40 engine (2.8TD) You will find the engine number stamped on the block, behind and slightly below the alternator. |
