Briefly, all the usual idiots wanted stupid sums. I'm fifty, drove a cab for 20 yrs etc. The insurance ombudsman sent me to Advance insurance, (just google them) and job done! |

That's about what I pay with Adrian Flux.
Normal insurance companies don't like insuring imports. When I changed from a 2.8 Shogun to a 2.8 Pajero five years ago Swinton Insurance put my insurance up from £300 to £900. |

They actually reduced this year's premium by a few quid as well.
I think all the companies charge what they think they can get away with. |

My renewal quote with Hastings Premier was £656, so I done an online quote on their site and got a price of £354. I phoned them up to get a multicar quote so that I could keep my Picasso for running about in and they quoted £478 for the shogun????
It's all a big con if you ask me |

When I changed from a Shogun to a Pajero, Swinton put it up from £300 to £900 as I said earlier so I phoned them and they instantly reduced it to £600 - so they were obviously trying it on with the £900.
I told them to forget it and went with Flux - and that was after being insured though Swinton for 30 years. They obviously don't value loyal customers. |

After making a claim for two vandalised tyres my old insurer, through Flux, didn't want to know and I'm now with some other mob for stupid money. Not happy with Flux at all. Didn't they have a rep on here at one time? |
