How can I check it? Maybe that is why the needle on the boost gauge keeps jumping up and down. I'm can get a read on the gauge but it won't stay quiet for a while. |

I cheated and removed my turbo and took it to a specialist - not cheap though. |

That's something I want to do in the future. I've noticed a little play in the shaft. I am still finding what the truck needs. So far it, it has two major things that need to be sorted out. It needs a new clutch kit and the rear rubber mounts of the gearbox.
I think the waste gate is closing since I could reach 0.8 bar before. Unless someone messed that adjustment on the wastegate connecting rod. When I removed the spacers I could feel lots of spring action. |

I wonder whether t is worth putting the two nuts back and see what the boost pressure is.
I am thinking that perhaps they spaced the actuator to cure a low boost problem rather than to increase it for more power. If so then they may not have touched the pump. |

Bumped the fuel screw another 1/4 turn and I'm getting around 0.75 bar now. I might stop right here. |

I'm almost sure they've touched the fuel screw. It didn't have the seal on and the engine didn't sound like it should. It sounded weak and sluggish.
Now it sounds like a real Pajero sounds like. We all know they have that characteristic sound of them. |

Hopefully that has sorted it.
Keep a check on your mpg - if it's abut 20mpg round town then it is probably set right. |

Adjusted it just a tiny bit more and made all the difference. Much better now. I can see a little bit of smoke now if I press the accelerator quickly. AC rev up works properly now. All good. I'll keep an eye on the boost pressure and engine temp. I'm getting 0.8 bar at the moment. Thanks for you patience and help! |

0.8 bar is fine - I'm glad you got it sorted. |
