Shogun 1998 2.8 GLS.
Iv tried everything i can think of, so now is using caustic soda too harsh for cleaning the coolant system out.
Could it damage the head gasket or worse,
I have flushed and flushed and back flushed and i have steam pressure flushed as well, but no matter what i do i can only get very little heat in the cab whilst vehicle is standing at a steady 1500/2000 revs, But as soon as i take it for a run i loose what heat there was, Temp gauge reads normal, top hose pipe is hot bottom hose pipe is Luke warm, new thermostat in, heater matrix pipes are hot to the touch as is the matrix core. I have tried getting front end up as high as poss and bleeding that way, to no avail.
Iv had all the passenger foot well apart to check the heater control flap is working = it is. Blower works on all speeds.
Totally lost now as to my next move, any help on this please. |

A couple of dishwasher tablets would be my choice. |
