Hi All
3 weeks in and really happy with my 2010 LWB Shogun.
Going in for mega service next week (145k) before we head off round Europe in it for 12 months!
I’ve only found 2 companies that will give me the full 12 months green card insurance - Stuart Collins and Andrew Copeland. Does anyone know of any more ‘mainstream’ insurers that would cater for the trip?
Thanks |

Can't help you on the insurance issue, but I am interested in your trip. 12 months is a long time to be travelling. Are you going to tow a caravan or do you have other plans? |

Hi. We’ll mainly be staying in Airbnb places, if you stay over a month you get up to 40% discount.
Considering a roof tent as well but to take a look at the cost/benefit.
Starting in Portugal (via Calais a d through France) then back across France for skiing next winter before heading down to Italy, Croatia and Greece - then straight line back to start work after my sabbatical at the end of April.
Any thoughts on roof tents for Shoguns?

That sounds great to me. I haven't done a long trip in years, but was very happy sleeping in the back of a 109" L*nd R*ver for many months.
I've never used a roof tent, but know that there are both hard-shell and fabric tents available. AFAIK they can both sit on standard roof bars, but not really looked into it.
Enjoy your trip and please post updates with pics every so often! |
