Hi all,
I've been following some of the sun roof posts on here, I have identified that my motor was only held in with one screw hence it sounding like a hammer drill.
I've been in and removed motor and the motor cog is *beep* and all burred, ive seen on ebay you can buy the cogs from Germany, has anybody replaced these with any success....My motor works fine
i priced a new motor with mitzi and they wanted £467 +VAT and it would take 3 weeks from europe.... No Thanks!
thoughts comments.... all appreciated. |

If you can buy the cogs and they are a fraction of the cost of a new motor, then it's got to be worth a go to replace them. If it needs any kind of special tool or press, you could probably find somebody local to do the job - and still save money.
That's as long as you're sure the motor is good. |

I am always surprised at the prices Mitsy charge for parts - it really is daylight robbery |

Or in this case, sunlight robbery. |

I once bought two O-rings for the coolant by-pass pipe from a dealer. They won't get rich from me! |
