Hi Folks,

I'm NOT interested in raising or lowering my suspension but I am interested in hearing if anyone has converted the original factory springing to an air suspension system i.e. removal of the original springs. I'm looking to achieve a smoother ride. Adjustable height would be helpful but not essential. The model I have is a 1995 Pajero MkII SWB 2.8 Turbo diesel Manual. Any comments would be most appreciated.

Dave

It's not going to be easy - the front suspension is torsion bars.

What Pete said ^^^.

What makes you think you will have a better ride? Have you exhausted all the options with changing springs and shocks?

I was thinking of replacing my rear coils with air bags to provide some height adjustment to allow our dog to jump in more easily as she gets older.  Then I realised that a £40 dog ramp would do the trick much more easily!  Laughing
