I've completed the fitment of a Waeco WS50 cruise control to my Challenger. All tested and working. I am very pleased with it, and the installation wasn't difficult.  For £140, the systems is a bit of a bargain.

Control unit on dash. Mounted on a switch blanking plate with a plastic spacer:

Speed pickup unit under vehicle, with magnet attached to prop shaft:

Vacuum actuator fitted between the batteries, mounted to the inner wing. A bit of luck as the cable length is perfect and it's a nice gentle curve:

Attaching clamp for CC cable outer to accelerator cable outer:

Clamp for CC cable to accelerator cable:

The control box is tucked away in the centre console.

We are driving down to Spain next month, so I am hoping that the addition of cruise control will make the journey less tiring.

Thanks Pete. I find it fun adding gadgets like this, as long as they're useful.  Next up, I reckon, will be a reversing camera as it's a miracle that I haven't hit anything yet. A big dog and a spare wheel on the back obliterate the view very effectively.

I have just replaced my reversing camera because it fell apart due to years of slamming the rear door shut - it has lasted five years though.

Replacement from China - £4.50 !!
