Hi guys

Yeah I undid the pipe from the oil cooler and got another half a litre out. According to the manual it should've had about 3.7 litres. I've filled it up and went through the gears whilst stationary, checked the level and took it for a drive. No difference unfortunately, so I checked the dipstick and it was still off colour so emptied the box again and refilled it. It's all nice and cherry red now but still the same issue 😕. Not sure what else to try.........

Where abouts is the temp sensor that allows the gearbox to engage od? It's the only thing I haven't checked.

Cheers

Likewise only familiar with the 2.8 but I recently snapped the terminal on the OD temp sender (mounted in head) and simply bypassed the sender and grounded the sender wire with no problems I just have to remember no high speeds when cold. After refitting the cylinder head I'd also found a spare wire that worried me for a moment but it turned out to be a spare ground which connected perfectly to the OD sender wire so that job was suddenly easier than expected.

Thanks for all the help guys! I've now done all the suggested tests and it's the od clutch as I sort of suspected. I'm going to plump for a change of gearbox.

I don't suppose anyone has a guide to swapping one over??

Cheers

Jim
