Hi.  I've been trying to slide the split rear seats forward in my 2.8 LWB so that I can convert the back of the vehicle into a bed.  However, when I raise the lever on the side (of either seat) neither of them will slide forward.  There is resistance on the lever as if it's trying to pull the cable but nothing releases.  It seems strange that the same problem exists on both sides.  I've tried sitting on the seat, operating the lever and using my body weight to move the seat but still nothing.  Although I've followed YouTube instructions, and advice given by others on t'interweb, I'm still struggling.  Does anyone in the club have any additional, step by step, Janet and John type instructions they could help me out with?  For info, the seats fold flat and lift forwards with no problems.  It's just getting them to slide on the rails that I'm struggling with.  Thanks in advance.  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad

Hi.  Thanks for the quick reply.  Unfortunately I already have a copy of this and it's instructions were the first thing I tried.  I then watched the YouTube video of the guy in Canada putting the seats down in the back of his Montero (Canadian Pajero).  Got as far as his instructions for sliding the rear seats forward (although his was a single bench seat) but neither of mine will budge when raising the side levers.  Is it likely that they have both broken in some way?   Question

I must admit that I've never tried to put mine flat.

Others on here have had problems with the cables inside the seats stretching and not allowing them to fold forward but I don't know how they sorted it.
