I did a search for this and found nothing on here. Two books I have for the V6 seem to give different listed types of steering fluid so am I OK to use Dexron 11 in my model 3 V6? |

Depends upon make as some is backwards compatible and some isn't, check which brands are and which aren't locally to you. |

Thanks.
I'll just get D2 then. I have some for the auto box(es) but was gonna get some fresh. Ones I have seen tend to say compatible with D2 but I'll just use my D2. |

Can I make a suggestion John, if you already have D2 and it is older stuff then drain your existing system and refill with the older D2 to flush it out, this will mix with anything contained in the pump and rack and dilute any contaminated fluids and when you drain it again you can refill with new D2 and have a much cleaner system and more effective lubricant. |

Excellent idea.
In fact I have to confess that I have done sod all in that direction. All I could do was try the ticker cures |
