Thank you for letting me join. I have had my Shogun Sport 06 since March 2010, just starting to have ignition problem, struggles to start first time for the day but once running no problems, drives well, acceleration ok, idles around 800 rpm. full service Aug 2017 including new glow plugs, leak off rail, New battery 5 weeks ago. Glow relay Ohms test at 19ohms. any guidance much appreciated

Have you checked the glow plugs are working?

I know you changed them a year ago but I have had three stop working at less than a year old.

All glow plugs tested, each plug open line on ohms test, 16mths old and all dead. four new ngk glow plugs fitted and the beast is back
£60 for the last lot of glow plugs to only last 16mths, thought I had bought good quality because of the price, any idea's as to what might cause them to fail

Not a clue  Confused  I have had three Bosch ones pack up at less than 12 months old.

I have tried Beru and Bosch up to now - both expensive makes.

I was going to change to NGK until I read THIS and now I daren't use them.

Did'nt mean to put you off NGK, probably the way I set the message out

I have just fitted four New NGK glow plugs and I am back up and running, just be careful with the buzbar locking nuts only lightly tighten or the threaded rod snaps

going to complete the service, Fuel filter etc, clean the EGR valve next and the Turbo adjusting screws as seen on the forum, test the effects

Thanks once again for the response to my post
