As above... it’s quite a high intake with a nifty cyclone separator and dust trap... well worth it for water wading... but for general offroad and desert driving use? Thoughts?
More cleaner air up there... but worth the extra expense given the stock intake design? |

No idea about exactly what conditions you operate in, but I thought maybe there'd be less dust higher up, and also that you have a "cyclone" top rather than an open vent that is the usual arrangement, and therefore the "cyclone" would filter air better. ? |

With you on the cleaner air point... definitely recommended in the desert for most cars.. was wondering if the OE setup nullified the need somewhat though. Do the snorkel kits also have a vortex separator?
Mostly like this for driving here...

When I bought my open to air type snorkel, there was an option for a cyclone head, there's not a lot of sand dunes here , although I wish there were as it's freezing here at the moment
As regards the OE setup, maybe contact your main dealer or local off road specialists and see what they say ?

It's a must accessory for serious off-roaders. |
