My trusty 2003 shogun has been great but I parked it up for a month or so and now I seem to have a problem I hadn't noticed before.

The first drive out I heard a clonk, clonk, clonk which was speed related coming from the rear.  I assumed the brakes were stuck on from being stood.

I removed the discs and cleaned everything up and reassembled, drove again and sounded like a (large) flat spot on the near side rear tyre.

So I jacked it up and drove with the wheels off the ground, one of the 4 green lights was flashing and the traction light flashes as I revved it, and clearly the nearside rear wheel was binding.

I took the calipers and discs off and put it in drive and the nearside rear wheel is turning at maybe 1/2 or 1/3 the speed of the offside - I can also stop the nearside rear wheel turning by hand with it in drive - no way I could do that with the offside!  I can also feel a clonking if I put my hand on anything nearby  that's not moving.

Have I broken the driveshaft/cv joint ?? I dont understand how something has broke as it hasn't been abused?  Having said that, with the engine switched off if I turn the hub the driveshaft turns so probably not broken?  Or could it be a problem with the diff?

edit... just been back out and with it idleing in drive the speed of each hub appeared much more even, I could also hold each drive shaft in turn and stop it turning.
But when I revved slightly in drive the green lights (for the rear wheels) would flash along with the traction light, there was also a load of clicking grinding in/under the dash area??  It changes between all 4wd modes easily but same symptoms persist in each mode.
