OK a strange one my mk3 has got a ticking sound from the rear ..it matches the road speed and only stops when you use the brake pedal I,ve checked both sides and all looks and works fine ..so ?? |

Rear drive shaft CV joint? I had similar symptoms on a front one. |

Check the disc protectors, they rust away and catch the disc |

Yes I had similar on a front one but it was gravel stuck in there. |

Hi did you find out the problem?
Mine has the same noise that goes away with braking.
So am leaning towards brakes?
