Having had the experience of changing the injector pump on our 2004 Shogun, I recommend having a look inside the fuel tank when it's off. I steam cleaned it before painting with Rustbuster 2 pack epoxy.
My local agricultural engineer introduced me to to a product by Millers oils, its a fuel additive the REMOVES WATER.
Its very powerful stuff. A £23 tin treats 1000 litres of fuel.

The product is Millers Oils Eclipse
Although I replaced the fuel filter after replacing the fuel filler pipes I did not know at that time that the filter does not stop the water that has got into the system through the rusty pipes from getting into the injector pump.
I have never heard of this happening on the older Diesel engines I deal with and conclude that it is due the the much higher fuel line flow on the newer engine.
If you replace filler pipes , change the filter , use an additive and I think get some miles on the clock to purge the system of water.

Quite a cheap garage, but I paid £180  for labour to get the pipes replaced. I bought the new pipes from Milners

How much effort is it to drop the tank?

In the process of changing these pipes which I believe should have been made of plastic then non of this would have been necessary.
Took the tank off and it’s rusty in parts but the pipes on the top of the tank are also shot at and need to be replaced for they too are in a very poor condition so although replacing the filler and breather pipes cures the problem that you can see it won’t cure the problem that you cannot see on the top of the tank.
