As the title says. Will a later (2004) valve cover fit a 1990 4D56 engine?

The one fitted to my MK1 has a sticker reading "CYCLONE DIESEL" stuck onto the top. The later type has "MITSUBISHI DIESEL" cast into the metal in raised letters.

I have seen a later type from a 2004 L200 for sale. I am thinking it would be useful to have a clean oil-free spare ready when replacing the valve cover gasket.

The only difference I can see from a photo is that the later type has an extra raised stub with a threaded hole.

Are there any other differences that would affect fitting to the earlier engine?

I changed the gasket last year when I did the valve clearances. Unfortunately the rear half-moon seal started to leak again. I am planning to use loctite 5922 sealant this time as I have used this on another cover on a different engine and that hasn't leaked yet.
