I have just had a recall notice through the post today....
Its for "driver and passenger front air bag safety recall". It says that " for certain driver and passenger airbags, the inflator might release shrapnel from the inflator container during deployment which could injure the occupants"
It doesn't say which models are affected by mine is a 2008 LWB Shogun diamond auto.
Says take to deal and work should take 2.5 hours!
Thought you all should know in case anyone else has a similar model. |

Hi,
I had mine in local Mitsubishi dealers for its annual service couple of days ago and was told there is a recall for front airbags,
got it booked in for next month, no time slot given was asked just to leave it with them, our antipedean cousins at,
www2.pajeroclub.com.au have been recalling them for ages now and I was wondering when Mitsubishi would get round to us. |

Mine too but twice I’ve tried to get it done they just say they’re fully booked for the next few months, it’s like they don’t want to do it |

My 1999 shogun 2.8 went in before Christmas to have recall done which threw up a fault, repair company contacted mitsubishi and the sent out a replacement are unit, it's now been in the garage for over a week as it caused another fault code to arise, repair company at waiting for mitsubishi to respond, appoints a fault with spr whatever that is, the repair company don't know and mitsubishi are scratching their heads by the sound of it. Anyone had the same issue? |

Your comment is slightly cryptic: what is "are unit" ?
If the "spr" fault is reported by MUTT or its equivalent, and this is after a front airbag replacement, could "spr" be code for "clock SPRing" (in the steering wheel) ? |
