Can someone explain the function of rear suspension assist link control bar (Mitsu code MR418919). What are the dangers of driving without one? Trouble is that both mounting bolts broke off from one side and it takes some time to get them replaced. Is it ok to drive around without the bar for a while?
Thanks in advance Smile

The cam bolt end controls the angle of the wheel so not having one will throw out the geometry effecting handling and tyre wear possibly increase wear on the other bushes too.
It’s not a hard part to change if the cam bolt isn’t rusted into the bush sleeve. If it is rusted in then it’s a pain to cut out due to restricted access. You’ll need a reciprocating saw and Carbide tipped blades such as a Milwaukee Charge blade, expensive but worth it. Even then it will require a slow speed cut with lube. MitzyBitz supply genuine Mitsubishi arms complete with bolts for £80 and it’s much easier to put new ones than remove the bush.
