Hi all,
In 2013 I modified a 4th Gen 2007 Shogun into a serious offroad tourer. In 2014 and 2015 it went all over the UK, Morocco, Europe and the Balkan countries on and off-road, getting as far as Istanbul in Turkey.
In 2016 it went to New Zealand, where it was further modified for offroading and has undertaken plenty of rugged 4wding in New Zealand's stunning South Island. A sample video here: Youtube
Right now my Shogun is on a ship that has just set sail from New Zealand bound for the Russian Far East city of Vladivostok. Commencing late May, with my family of five (including three kids) we're going to 4wd across Russia, Mongolia and all the ...stans and on further all the way back to London - being where this Shogun set off from in 2014.
Anyway, just posting this in case anyone here is interested in following the trip. My website address is below (just launched today). It contains photos from past travels and some great videos of the Shogun performing in New Zealand's wilderness areas, but it's main purpose is to record this 2019 trip once it gets underway from Russia in late May.

This expedition did go ahead, is still in progress and all is going well. Recent highlights include 4wding to Kel Suu - a truly extraordinary place inside Kyrgyzstan's military controlled border zone with China, and driving the remote Tosor Pass at 3,893 metres.
I have loads of photos on our trip website: 5GoOverland
Or you can view some very short videos, also featuring some great drone footage, and the Shogun at work!
