2006 Shogun has only one rear 'side light' working

my 2006 Shogun has only one rear 'side light' working, all the other rear lights work fine and so does the bulb when put in the other side, how can I find the problem/solution? sorry if this has been covered before, I'm new here and have tried to search for this.

Disconnect the lamp holders from the side that is working and then try the working one on the faulty side. If it works then you have your answer. A faulty lamp holder.
