Does anyone out there know if these can be changed without gearbox removal
I've got a flashing orange light in the middle of the green 4 lights
Thanks in advance

The switches can be replaced without removing the gearbox but it does have to be dropped slightly to get access to the switches otherwise the clearance is to small

Hi pete hope your well
I had the usual flashing green lights so sorted them out I was reading a link from on here I think and it says if the orange light is flashing it's the sensor on the gearbox and low and behold I put a new dash bulb in and its flashing when 4 wheel drive selected,
Mine is a mk2 jap import
Mitzy list them as a set of 5 for mk2 , so now I'm definitely unsure )

Have a read of Venn's posts here

http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=147586&sid=404f76dfac87fa152a1548e26be8023f

It looks like there are some switches on the transfer case on the MkII according to Venn.

Have you checked the level and condition of the oil in the transfer box and the ATF in the gearbox (assuming yours is an auto)

I've been informed by mitzy today that only the mk3 pajero/shogun has the 5 transfer sensor switches,  😫

So I'm still unsure of the orange flashing light , the transmission fluid is clean looking and up to level , so I dont think it's a fluid problem,
Any more information about this problem will be great 😁😁

all mk2,s have 5 switches and yes you need to lower the box slightly to get to them, think they are a 22mm spanner size from memory also where thick gloves saves the skin on your knuckles  Wink
