Hey Gang,

I recently bought a Pajero Junior. After looking at the taxbook it said the VIN number was: H57A-******* (asterisks for privacy). The VIN should be 17 characters.....

As it's an import they may have missed the first few characters. after doing some research on this site, I found the Pajeros have a certain classification for the VIN. I however couldn't find the same for the junior. I pieced together what I could find below:

http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=76097
http://www.pajerio.com/forum/hello-armenia

but each time I do I come out with the wrong model in a search on this site http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Mitsubishi/Pajero%20Junior/specs-features.

Just wondering could anyone post the first 6 characters of their VIN for the Pajero Junior (ideally a manual transmission).

Thank you!

Very Happy

What does the identification plate show? That's surely the definitive VIN.

Thanks for your reply. There are a few numbers on the plate. None equate to the 17 digit VIN number I need. I have however found the part I need since. Seems to be very little availability of parts. I found links in Russia for the idle control valve i need but have no experience ordering from Russia/ know if it's possible :/

Other links through the UK and Japan equate to about £160 - 200. Trying to source a second hand part now Smile

Thanks again

Old post but for clarification Japanese imports such as the Junior do not have international standard VINs. Mitsubishi Japan had their own coding system. Maybe different now. I wouldn't use the Japanese VIN to find parts just the H57A for clarification when you find a part that you think is for your car.
