Just a question about 4 low,i went through all gear transfer settings for the first time since owning the truck which is 14 months now as i was parked on a huge car park that was covered in loose gravel surface,i already new 4h worked ok carried on to centre diff and all good, solid amber light, moved up to 4l and all four green lights started to flash, drove it for 50 meters or so but still flashing,so my question is,are the lights supposed to turn solid green.not to fussed about it as never use 4l,but would be nice to know if it was operating correctly.

No it isn't because the lights should be solid, this means it is trying to engage and failing to do so.

This is a motor operated system and it would appear the motor is not fully engaging 4L and this is usually due to sticking.

ive never seen the srs light on (isnt that the airbag light) Im sure but could be wrong
2H - Bottom green lights
4H - All 4 green Lights
4HLc - All 4 green Lights and Centre diff orange light
4LLc - All 4 green Lights and Centre diff orange light

I havent really used my 4HLc and 4LLc so not really sure if there is a difference between the dash lights but i dont recall seeing a srs light up

Yes i have that button press turns it off or on but ive never seen it come on with the 4wd, except when i had the switches replace (second time around) and when they were all disconnected the anti skid light did come on then so possible you have a fault with one of the switches on the gearbox, but don't quote me on that i just saw it through observation

It only illuminates when 4ll is engaged then goes off when moving back out of 4ll.

The reason it wasn't engaging before was because i was in park instead f neutral,it engages every time in neutral but not when it is in park.
