Hey guys.
I have a shogun mk3 3.2 DID with the cassette player and multi changer.
I want to replace the radio unit and I have the adapter harness but I cant seem to get power to the new unit. Is there a step by step guide for installation? If so could someone point me in the right direction please.
Much appreciated
Kane

If you have the correct harness the power should be the same. The adapter i used was a mitsubishi to sony lead (sony car stereo), but there is two power leads red and yellow. One is a constant 12v to supply the radio and clock memory circuits and the other is switched 12 volts so the power comes on when your turn the key. If you have the stereo out you could test if you have both 12v on the red and yellow cables. From memory the unit should power up if only the switched 12v is present but you wont be able to store radio presets or have the correct time (if the stereo has time). The red and yellow wires should be from the new car stereo and not the adapter cable.
On another note do you have the electronic aeriel in the passenger rear window if so this needs to be connected to (again from memory) the blue wire from the stereo for you to get a radio signal.

And don't forget to connect up the black earth wire, I think on mine the earth wire connected to the chasis of the stereo so it wasnt part of the wiring loom so that black wire will have to connect to your new wiiring loom adapter

Red wire = switched power supply
Yellow wire = constant power supply
Blue wire = power antenna control
Black wire = Earth
