I hve just brought a 2005 3.2 did shogun. In 2wd when braking i get an vibration i think from the front. I have checked pads and disks and thay look ok. It now seams to nock the car out of 2wd and the lights go off and the little orange light comes on and flashes. After stopping and switching car off and restarting the problem gos away untill i brake again? I have tryed in 4wd and there dosent seam to be any vibration when braking. I have no clue to what this could be and would love some expert opinion s Gary

So been out for a test drive without the abs fuse and the problem is less.. Unfortunately this has not cured the issue. In 2wd i can drive for a fue miles then the orange light comes flashing on and the 2wd green lights go out. It almost feals like a wobble when braking at low speed. I hpoeing some one will know what i could pos be as i am stuck.. Other than sending to main dealers.

They default to 4 wheel drive if there is a drivetrain issue.

If it is on the front then check the wheels, some aftermarket discs can warp if the wheels are overrtightened and I have seem several of these in the last couple of years.

Remove the disc and check the hub and inside mounting face of the disc, if new ones have been fitted then often this is down to not cleaning the mounting hub properly, and not cleaning the inside of the disc properly if they have been removed and replaced, and muck gets between the hub and disc and rusts and forces it out of line.

If your vehicle has stood for a period of time it maybe that rust has formed inside the disc mounting face and forcing the disc out.

Check your front propshaft as often they are neglected, at the front joint you will find a grease nipple inside the yolk of the universal joint and as they are difficult to find unless you know where they are, and this needs greasing as they are often ignored and cause vibrations.

They are for your 4WD as this activates on the front axle.
