Just fitted a tempt gauge , noticed a drip from the sensor in the coolant hose. Do these need thread tape to seal? Didnt want to tighten to much as its alloy.. |

No, the earth is taken from the engine, so don't put Teflon tape. Tight it bit more, it has a tapered thread. |

You may wrap top few threads with Teflon tape and tighten it so that the earth connection is still maintained. |
