Hi
Bought a 2005 pinin 2.0 gdi on sat. Genuine 63k on the clock full(,ish) history and in pretty good nick.

When i bought it i knew that the green lights were flashing on the display for the front wheels when in 2wd. On the test drive i found out that although i can move the transfer selector to 4llc it doesn't engage lo ratio. I really liked the car and bought it anyway but knocked a few hundred off because of the above issues.

The car has spent the last 2 years doing not a lot at all - it covered just 800 miles between the last mot's (the current one was Saturday) and about 4k the year before that. Its not been in 4 wheel drive in all that time either let alone lo range.

On Sunday I took her out down a few dirt tracks and ran in 4h then kept selecting 4h and 2h regularly. I did the same on Monday and since then the flashing lights have stopped so i guess there was a sticky switch/ actuator or something to Due to non use so very happy there.

Could anyone help me with the lack of lo range? I will have to get someone to look at it as i don't have a ramp but if there MAY be a fairly easy fix i could do myself I'd probably borrow a couple of the little drive on ramps and take a look myself - assuming the fix is underneath of course.

I already love this little car and although I'll probably never need it its a bit of a niggle knowing it doesn't work.

Thanks.

Bren
