PostPosted: Sun Aug 19, 2012 6:26    Post subject: MR438854 iso doesn't burn to a cd Reply with quote

Hi,

My car is a Mitsubishi DION 2000 and I have downloaded the file MR438854 successfully, un-rar with 7zip and when I tried to burn the iso file to a cd an error comes up. Usually iso images can be extracted or view to check if the archiving is ok but with this iso it seems like its corrupted. Cannot extract or view.

So far on this post I haven't read any successfull post for this particular file MR438854.

Can you check that file again and upload a working iso please?

Thanks

Rio

Hi ALL,

My bad Evil or Very Mad  and I have to say I was thinking too much of how most iso images work where you can extract/view the content of an ISO image Mad  where as in this case you just have to burn it to a cd.

My first mistake was not trying other burning softwares to burn this ISO image. I tried the windows one first and it didn't work and then I tried the Roxio EasyCD Creator with no luck as well. After I read the post by a guy from PNG saying it works so I tried the other burning softwares and the one that works for me is the NERO Burning ROM. Burning was succesfull and then I tried to view the content of the cd if I can view it and NO I couldn't view it. So I thought it was NOT made for computers might as well slot it in to where it suppost to be (my car cd player)  Very Happy

Turn on my car, slot in the cd and there you go, first thing I notice it was showing some progress but too bad I can't read Japanese Smile cut the story short the LINK WORKS

Thanks again for helping out. Appreciate your work.

My bad for resurrecting an old thread but I just want to pass on my thanks to you guys for having all the info here. My mmcs needed a reboot after the battery died and the file found in the original post worked a treat. I never thought I'd be burning cds in 2021 but there you go!

Thanks again!

OK ... here's the deal ...

I have a few of these that I am regularly asked for - they're simply 'system reset' CD's, so there's no copyright issue!

I'll list the disc reference codes that I already have, (and can reproduce for the cost of the discs +P&P),  and, hopefully, I can get together a librabry of discs plus a 'compatibility chart' - ie - which disc reboots which unit.

I have tried to get feedback in the past and only ONE person actually fed back the details ... so, I'm hoping, with your help, we can put this together and have the opportunity to provide a better service with regard to providing working replacement boot CD's Smile

To find the right CD for your system, you'll need to check the unit number on the original CD player, under the driver's seat, passenger seat or in the boot - if you have an after-market CD player, then it's going to be a bit more hit-and-miss!

So ...

here are the discs I currently have in my posession :
