Good,  glad to hear that wee arc/tig inverter I bought wasn't a waste of money!  Although this is going to cause me a couple of arguments!

Absolutely, I can relate to the importance of having that knowledge, especially when it comes to using your truck on the beach. It's a unique environment that demands a bit of know-how to ensure your vehicle remains in top condition. I share a similar sentiment as I don't plan on parting with my truck anytime soon. The confidence and understanding to handle any potential repairs or maintenance myself are crucial for peace of mind.

It's great to hear about your experience helping your brother with his Zephyr. Working on projects like that not only builds skills but also provides a sense of accomplishment. Replacing panels in the floors and dealing with rust issues is no small feat, and it's excellent practice for honing your automotive repair skills. While it might not involve the complexity of chassis repairs with tubes, every bit of hands-on experience contributes to a solid foundation.

Here's to gaining more confidence in tackling any future challenges with your truck and enjoying those beach drives without a worry in the world! It's always empowering to be self-sufficient when it comes to the care and maintenance of your vehicle.
