Put your VIN into the box HERE and it will tell you.
Alternatively have a look at the labels on the seatbelts - the date on them is usually about 1 or 2 months after the truck was built. |

The one that starts with "L" ?
When I put my VIN (off the plate in the engine compartment), mine starts with a "V" - it tells me the exact day it was made.

That doesn't look like a VIN number - it should be 12 digits for a Mk1
The site in the link seems to need a VIN with a hyphen in it like this: "CS5A-0002855"
I have tried removing the JMA bit of your number, and just using the numbers but not letters.
Maybe the site doesn't work for Mk1s.
Have a read

According to the check digit it's a 1987 model year, struggling to find any more details as none of the decoders I use recognize the full number |
