Hi all having had a few pajero over the years and a few landis I’m back in the paj stable again having bought 2 1990 2.5 lwb s
Both driving but  my favourite 1 is driving me nuts  changing down all the time from top to 3  and constantly happy To run about 3000 revs
I’ve read read lots of historical posts here about similar problems but is there a solution that is more often than not the answer
Now I have been trying to adjust the cable to the required measurements  and I’m I am still playing with that but even though she starts and drive really well this gearchange issue is driving me nuts
I suppose I could start swapping things from the other paj to this one but I would rather leave well enough alone
Anyway if you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it
Cheers in advance

Dunno if 2.8 has the same setup there's a TPS and kickdown in the equation. Mine is adjusted out of spec going by the book but for towing about 2 ton I got it where it I wanted it.

TPS

Welll all ,
I must have adjusted the kickdown cable 100 times
It still seems to want to change down to 3rd unless I’m going downhill almost
If I back off in3 Rd she will go to 4 th but the least pressure sends it back up to 300 revs and down to third
Please tell me I don’t have a gearbox out problem  Very Happy
