Folks, ill be doing my first oil and filter change on my 2004 3.5GDi, this weekend, and I was wondering if there is anything I should be mindful of?

For example, I am not actually sure where the filter is located although I am sure Ill spot it eventually but are there any special tools required?

I've done many an oil change, over the years, just not on one of these Smile

Many thanks.

Jonathan

So, its all done and all from underneath and a fairly easy job. I even managed to get the oil filter off by hand, with a bit of grunting and groaning  Smile

Hi mate, yes fairly easy job changing the oil and filter. I do mine approximately every 6/7 months no matter how many miles I covered. You can't beat good clean fresh oil!

I also own a 3.5 V6 GDI.  Smile ....2001 model.

Thanks for that update Chappy and I'll be following the same schedule too, even if my mileage is fairly low/6 month period.
