Morning all ,
Have just got myself a shogun for the first time . A 2004 3L petrol sport. I bought it from a guy who could not be bothered to sort a problem out. It starts well and runs fine  when cold but once it warms up its a different beast. If I slow down or stop at the lights it won't give full power straight away , usually taking about 5 seconds to come back in. It's not intermittent pretty much happens every time. On a long run it's no problem .
I have just started to investigate so cleaned the air filter ,  throttle body ( sprayed cleaner from the outside ) checked egr valve is moving ok , Maf sensor looks clean. Have checked all pipes ,Hoses and can not see anything obvious. The engine light is on but have connected a diagnostic to it but it is showing no codes. I aim to change plugs soon when it warms up.q bit ! Could anyone tell me how to check the Maf and give any advice about where to start looking.
Thanks in advance
Guy
