Shogun 3.2 2006, 60k. Got intermittent problem. ABS, Traction Control, Handbrake light warning lights come on, along with a high pitched warning sound (not a buzzer). Still got brakes. First came on on a icy morning. Next time started up it was all clear. Next time it came on a drove over some very bumpy ground and it all went off. Diagnostic = Accumulator pressure low. Garage have told me they can't do anything without the warning lights etc being on, everytime I book it in it's working ok!!
Based in Carmarthenshire - Wayne C not too far away!! |

Fault code means the brake booster pump may not be working? .check it,s running when you start the truck or pump the brake pedal with the engine off then restart engine. |

Could you tell me how to check the pump is working? When I start truck, with warning lights and buzzer going - I hear a whirring sound, motor trying to start I presume. Sometimes it'll keep doing it but sometimes like today - lights and buzzer will all go out and everything is normal!
There's no yellow/white or pink dot on the accumulator. Mitsibishi have told me there are no outstanding recalls. Would it be worth chasing Mit to sort this? If this problem was common on older models looks like it wasn't sorted by the time ours came out either.
Finally, anyone able to recommend an independent garage in west wales that may have come across this fault and be familiar with a fix - would be much appreciated. |
