Hi. My 2002 Shogun fuel filter water sensor has stripped threads. The only ones I can find advertised are for the 2.5 model. Advice from the vendor is that it won't fit the filter of the 3.2 model. Mitisubishi want £80 + vat for one delivery in June! Since it's plastic I'd rather not go the used route at the moment. Any advice please? At the moment I've fitted a blanking plug to keep me on the road. Thank J C.

Drain it regularly or just before winter and in the spring.

Mine never worked so just drained it regularly.

Thanks assassine. The plastic threads on mine were screwed up so was unable to effect a fuel tight seal. Fortunately I found a blanking plug to fit. Never knew if the sensor worked as the filter was regularly changed. Interestingly, despite the vendors statement that his 2.5 sensor would not fit a 3,5, the fuel filters listed for both vehicles have the same part number?
