Automatic gearbox wont go into drive and started to overheat

Hello was thinking of buying a spares or repair Mitsy long wheelbase auto.  Its K reg but wont stay on drive and has started to overheat. The gearboc oil is fine appaarently so is the coolant. Please any suggestions thanks.

Hello
Overheating could be a blocked radiator, water pump, loose belt. But in many  cases on here it usually cracked head, so I would factor that in your expected workload and costs.
Hope someone else can advise you on gearbox. In the meantime check the ATF .......

Are your levels correct and have you checked them using the correct procedure?
